JetBlack®: customised fire protection

If a fire breaks out on your company's premises, you want to have it under control as quickly as possible to prevent catastrophic consequences. JetBlack®, the fire protection system by insulation company C. J. van Waas, can help with this. The danger and damage associated with fires in refineries, the petrochemical industry, and offshore installations can be minimised with JetBlack® fire protection. We've developed the JetBlack® Flexible Jet Fire Protection system to protect flammable and important equipment in the event of a fire. This system is usually applied to products such as emergency shutdown valves, pipes, cable trays, actuators, control panels, etc. We provide systems that offer 60, 90, and up to 120 minutes of protection.

Certification

The JetBlack® system consists of multi-layered material. “C.J. van Waas made a conscious choice regarding the material. It has been proven that this material can be applied under extreme weather conditions with excellent results,” says Rutger. The system was tested at a special location in England under flame temperatures of 1150˚C. The system remains intact under these extreme jet fire conditions for 120 minutes. The multi-layered material ensures that temperatures on the inside rise as little as possible to mitigate damage to the protected equipment. This earned JetBlack® the Lloyd certification.
